I’ve been developing links for the generic “search engine optimization” very steadily for the past few months now, but today decided to switch to something more attainable and more useful, “boston seo”. Well, within 4 hrs my site has gone to No. 47 for “boston seo” from outside the Top 1000. I first noticed this a few days ago, when I made a change to my blog and discovered Google displayed the change impressively in under 10 minutes. It seems that if you blog regularly with good content, Google can identify you as a source of regularly updated content and update your listings very quickly.
This means 2 things then:
- 1. Blog and similar social, CMS-driven content can be updated in minutes, compared to possibly months for older static-content sites.
- 2. Local searches are easy to rank for and represent highly profitable niche markets.
It’s easy to love Google when things go your way of course, but nonetheless, thank you algorithm, that kind of speed is something I simply never expected and I can’t wait to see what else is possible.
